So, I meant to post this a couple of weeks ago when this happened, but I forgot!
Mason went through a really hard phase where it took her FOREVER to go to sleep and she would stand up in the crib as soon as you laid her down. Anyway, long story short, we decided to do the "cry it out" thing (where you go in every few minutes and pat her back) for a few days, rec. by our pediatrician. So, as if listening to her crying helplessly over the moniter is not bad enough, one afternoon it went silent, so I thought Score we did it! Well, this is what I found when I walked in her room- she was sound asleep like this. And these were the thoughts that ran through my head- WORST MOM EVER!!!!
I felt terrible:(
However, our little girl is sleeping wonderfully now! Now, let me say, I'm not sure this method did the trick or not. And, I'm not necessarily an advocate for it, because I love to rock my baby to sleep. We went out of town, in the middle of all the sleeping troubles and she slept with us. That is obviously not part of that sleeping plan. But, ever since we have been back, there is no longer a struggle! So, I still do not have the magic answer! But, I am thankful for the sleep we are getting again!!
