Let me oughta here!!!

So, I meant to post this a couple of weeks ago when this happened, but I forgot!
Mason went through a really hard phase where it took her FOREVER to go to sleep and she would stand up in the crib as soon as you laid her down. Anyway, long story short, we decided to do the "cry it out" thing (where you go in every few minutes and pat her back) for a few days, rec. by our pediatrician. So, as if listening to her crying helplessly over the moniter is not bad enough, one afternoon it went silent, so I thought Score we did it! Well, this is what I found when I walked in her room- she was sound asleep like this. And these were the thoughts that ran through my head- WORST MOM EVER!!!!
I felt terrible:(

However, our little girl is sleeping wonderfully now! Now, let me say, I'm not sure this method did the trick or not. And, I'm not necessarily an advocate for it, because I love to rock my baby to sleep. We went out of town, in the middle of all the sleeping troubles and she slept with us. That is obviously not part of that sleeping plan. But, ever since we have been back, there is no longer a struggle! So, I still do not have the magic answer! But, I am thankful for the sleep we are getting again!!

Flower Child

These are a few pictures over the last few weeks. We are falling more in love with this little girl everyday. It is so fascinating to watch her learn and grow! We obviously think she is the smartest 9 month old there ever was:) She is still a little bit, weighing in at 17 lbs and 23 perc. at her 9 month appt. She is growing steadily though.
We love you muffin!!!

Hey mama!

Mama lovin on her after bathtime

Wrestling the bunny!

We finally had to lower her crib. This was a couple of weeks ago after her nap- she has learned to pull up and now her crib is a fun new toy- This makes going to sleep quite the challenge!

Waving to me~

Mirror, Mirror on the wall....

This sweet little girl of ours is 9 months old today (9/29)! Time is flying by. She is at such a fun age right now. Her personality is just shining through. She is one social little girl. She loves interacting with people, especially other kids. When we are at the grocery or any store, she will smile people down until they acknowledge her. She's pretty stubborn too. I can't imagine where she gets this from?!? She is finally getting some teeth. Her 2 bottom ones are coming in. She had a rough week dealing with that- fever, sleepless nights, no appetite, and runny nose!
She is saying da, da da, da now. She obviously doesn't know what this means, because I'm convinced she would have said ma ma first if she knew the meaning!! However, she does get so excited when Chris comes home from work! She will crawl out of my arms and try to get to him faster! She can wave bye bye now! She is doing the army crawl now and is so close to crawling on her hands and knees. While she is falling asleep, she will rub the tag of her lovey between her fingers and on her face.
Oh I could just go on and on- She is my favorite:)

This little girl has so many facial expressions! She can make me laugh with just a smirk.
She has started to really enjoy a good game of peek-a-boo. We love to get a big giggle squeal out of her!

and away we went..

Well, we have had a pretty busy summer! However, last month Chris and I took a little vacation to Destin with some good friends ( S. Boo's). After agonizing over whether or not to go, at the last minute, we jumped in the car and away we went. It was a much needed break for all of us mommies and daddies! We had gorgeous weather and had a blast. The ocean was the clearest I've seen it in Destin, so we were able to get in and float around. We had some yummie dinners, cornhole fun, games, and some good conversations! This was our first time away from our little muffin, and we missed her terribly. However, she did so well at Tom Tom & Su Su's- slept through the night and all!! It was a much needed break for Chris & I, and we came back to Nashville refreshed and relaxed!
